Just an interesting video someone made for guru that I thought had some style. While it may not be the greatest guide and has some issues with audibility it does a good job of describing the RA experience and some basics for new users. I don't fully agree with all the advise given, but it's still and interesting video and you can tell the creator put a lot of effort into it.
cool idea but tried way too hard to be creative/funny when it ended up being not really helpful or funny. I guess it was just a thinly disguised highlight video made of himself playing warrior in ra ... =/
I love the style. A lot. As a guide it's woefully uninformative for eight minutes, especially since the last three of them are one recorded quarterknock after the other. Good job?
The guy that created this stated on his page that the video was "more an attempt at being artsy than it is a particularly good guide". He brings up a bunch of good points but I get irritated when I play RA with people like this because they too much effort into analyzing teams.
I can't count the number of times I will get paired with what I believe to be a decent team only to have one of the players leave because they are an "elite" RA'er who is highly selective of what characters they will play with. It defeats the whole purpose of RA.

What's worse is when they stand in the base telling you to resign into team chat over and over again.
People say Guild Wars is hard to watch, and it's true, but only when trying to visualize the whole. As that guy does very well, zooming in to show you the actions of one character against another make the game much more clear. You are able to pick up on subtleties, and GW1 combat is built on subtleties. I mentioned it to Hates' when he was doing his mAT streams awhile back, but they never zoomed in or followed one player at a time. They, like everyone else, zoomed all the way out and clicked around trying to show as much as possible. I think you'd get more out of spectating GW2 by going from player to player in combination with zoomed out team views. That video was pretty.

why the fck would you delete someones comment just because its not a positive one? wasnt offensive so stop getting overprotective over some video wich is a failure anyway looking at its purpose. And dont get so defensive its not Jadens video. ( and if that was Jaden, shame on you bro.) How about stop wiping people opinion just because you dont like it? Pro Admins are pro.
And to tell people to screw in syncs, to get some wins, aka leech teams, and leave if they arent good enough in RA, is completely pathetic, amazing video, more of those, pure quality /sarcasm.
Really liked that compared to other gw pvp vids I've seen, actually showing the difference in damage taken on different shields or without one was a good idea to illustrate the point that's always made.
The last part of the video where he is showing some tips and tricks could have done with a little commentary over the top for new people not familiar with them. Zoomed in and slowed down shots were good, and nice tunes!

Your post was deleted not because of it's negative content, but because it contained nothing put personal attacks against the creator of the video and nothing more. This sub forum is heavily moderated to make sure players are attacking ideas and not each other, allowing users to freely voice their opinion without getting shit all over. If you think another user has provided poor or incorrect content, go ahead and tell them why they are wrong, not how stupid they are.
In the future, if you have any issues with moderation please PM an admin as it will usually be deleted from threads. I am using this as a reminder once again for some users that this is a heavily moderated section that requires you to play somewhat nice with each other.

There was nothing personal in it, it was all directed to the video content, not to the maker. And there was nothing negative to be removed by an admin, little power overuse? Im being perfectly nice. Have a good one.
I liked the part, when he sucked, from 0:01-8:12. And you know people actually don't get punished for syncing cause you can't prove it they actually did? anyone can randomly push button at 1 one second on timer. Hope someone reports your sorry ass, and you'll learn not to screw in other people sync, with your pathetic axe skill.
And this should be in multimedia section, this is bs, not GW.
I'll use your post as an example for what is not acceptable in this sub forum so other users can understand. Please note the 3 personal attacks and no arguments against the actual content of the video. Again it's fine to be negative and even use bad language, but you have to attack the ideas, not the person.

I never controlled the camera but in hindsight the better view for at least 90% of the time is the zoomed out one. Zooming in when talking about something specific (like quarter stepping or lots of target switching and whatever) is useful hence why it works in this video. However, for the most part people want to see more of the field and that goes for pretty much all viewing in games and sports. If we had a better replay system in GW1 then doing replays when zoomed in would be great, as it is though... I mean we only have 1 live continual shot of the match so it's pretty hard to get good times to zoom in on the action.

Haha, this thread got locked on guru because he focused only on glad title and not on "having fun," you know the same focus that everyone that plays RA holds.
