Seems like it's not over though, apparently Tottenham offered 22m, while Mata is keen to either stay or go to Arsenal. Will be funny to see how far up the auction will go. Well, too bad for Arsenal, it would've been the highest transfer in in their history, not a checked source though (the same one that claimed 15, later on 17m, to Arsenal is a done deal <_<), can someone confirm?

Mata will go to Arsenal, but he is not at Arsenal yet. From what I understand it will be a 17million package deal. He has a 20 buyout clause.
Vucinic to Juve.
Pastore to PSG (old news)

Who do you think he will sign? With Cesc going to Barca and Nasri going to City he has 60million to spend..

He's had money available for seasons. He doesn't want to ues it though. He sees Arsenal more as a 'project' than a club that needs to win trophies, which is why he only really ever buys youth despite the obvious need for experience.

Yup, he is going to run Arsenal into the ground sort of like what happened to Liverpool and it will take a while to recover.

There were rumours of Bryan Ruiz going to Tottenham Hotspur, thank god he didn't go. In the end the meagre 5 million Tottenham offered wasn't enough to convince Ruiz and Twente entirely. I'm so happy and suprised how a player of this calibre is still playing in the dutch league. Ruiz is just amazing, more importantly: He's the kind of player that you visit the stadium for. I don't understand why an English team hasn't offered 20+ million yet for this absolute phenomenon.
It's suprising he's actually willing to go to Fulham, since Fc Twente is a much better team.

I LOVE DEADLINE DAY
Huddlestone and Danny Rose just tweeted about someone sneaking into the back of Tottenham's training ground. Apparently we're looking to ship off Peter Crouch, so I'm guessing it's quite likely to be a forward. Am hoping desperately for Ruiz or Rossi, but not holding my breath.
Other thoughts are that if we're looking for Cahill, that could well be a coup. Apparently it hinges on if we can sort out a cash+Bassong deal. I do like Bassong, though - he's a good prospect, but Cahill's a really good player.

Top player. Delighted he's come as we've obviously lacked bite in the middle of the park with Sandro out for another few months. £5m is a bargain. Worth double that.
