Wrestled for 10 years. Cutting weight sucks, but nothing beats the sense of accomplishment from all the hard work.

Sparring in the garden? That sounds a little weird, but Greco-Roman, freestyle, and collegiate wrestling are all awesome sports. I did Greco-Roman for 6 years and collegiate for 9.

The idea of donning a spandex singlet, being ultra concerned about my weight, and grappling with another sweaty guy in a singlet just doesn't entice me...
Some of my best friends in high school were wrestlers, It just doesn't interest me...
If I wanted to show my strength in a physical sport I would do boxing. Much more manly.
Plus is always happens during Basketball season, so I was preoccupied with something better...

Tbh its not always in spandex.. If you watch youtube u see ppl with just wearing shorts doing it too. And imo wrestling is not not manly.

I remember getting done wrestling practice and in the locker room the basketball players would be singing Backstreet Boys together in the shower. Bunch of closet homo bros on that team.
