Given that the monthly subsections in the lfg/glf sections aren't very useful, isn't it about time to get rid of them?

Move "mark topics read" to the top. So no need to scroll down in order to click it any more. After all, it's the most important button on the forums!

But it's really easy to just hit "Search" in the top navigation and look up a user.

Seriously, why am I not allowed to search for apparently common words?

At what specific rating are Threads marked grey? this really pisses me off actually as they look like threads you already read without new posts. Can't you highlight -x Posts/Threads with another color than this? Is there a way to actually highlight bad threads red and good ones (by rating) red or green rather than this grey?

Speckled red/blue forums sounds horrifying. The dark grey was meant as a way to really fade the bad threads out. Are you saying they're actually attracting your attention more?

I think he's saying it makes the threads more invisible and less likely to be clicked. The grey makes them look as if they've been read and there's no new posts in them, which isn't strictly true. If there was a colour code I agree it would look kinda terrible given the websites overall colour pallette, but some other way of distinguishing them would be better.

Do me a favor and hit refresh in your browser to make sure you have the latest CSS file. I made it pretty dark a week ago - not sure I'd want to make it any darker
