Hi QQ'ers. The rules of the road:
Team Quitter Tenets These principles have formed the heart and soul of QQ. They're not rules, but rather guidelines that every forum user should follow to shape their content and their actions. Moderators refer to these tenets during enforcement and strive to exemplify their message through their behavior on the forum. No matter how much awesome we add in the future, we will not forsake these tenets. I won't tease you for printing them out and framing them.
Intellectual Freedom
Speak your mind. Swearing, trolling, and flaming are acceptable in the proper context, but excessive bigotry has no value. Be entertaining, poke fun, and don't feed the (bad) trolls!
Community Equality
Team Quitter encourages community-driven content and self-moderation that abides by EtiQQuette. Moderators use discretion when enforcing, but we expect their decisions to be based on EtiQQuette.
Transparent Authority
It will be clear when authority takes action and why. Moderators are open to criticism and we train them to not bite. Don't hesitate to reach out.
Strategy First
Forums and threads intended for strategy discussion are more heavily moderated. You're encouraged to share your opinion no matter your level of experience, but be respectful of others sharing their opinions too.
Global EtiQQuette: These forum rules apply to all users (including moderators) and are universally enforced unless a section or topic contains an administrator notification that specifically states otherwise. Note that if you can't follow these, you might be eligible for some kind of special needs program. If that's the case, I'm glad we could provide you this diagnostic test.
Content:
No pornography, disturbing medical photos, etc. Maxim or less must be appropriately marked NSFW. Bigotry that is humorless and harmful is not tolerated. Mark all appropriate spoilers. Posts should be in English. No +1s or excessive bumping. Avoid unnecessary or excessive usage of capital letters. Do not introduce personally identifying information about a user without their explicit authorization.
This includes but is not limited to pictures, phone numbers, emails, credit cards, addresses, etc. You’re welcome to go nuts with photos a user has introduced themselves.
Moderation:
Do not post about moderation in a thread. If you have an issue with a post, use the report feature. If you have an issue with moderation, contact another moderator or administrator. Administrator decisions are final.
Administration:
Do not post real money trades for GW items, guilds, accounts, etc. Do not post about how to illegally access content. Do not post about how to illegally modify games or other programs. Do not advertise in posts, avatars, user names or signatures. Do not post about how to block QQ’s ads. Do not create an alternate QQ account unless it is terribly clever. Do not re-post content across threads or sections. Do not necro threads unless it is likely to lead to new content and/or you have something substantial to add that requires the original thread as a reference.
Strategy EtiQQuette: Forums and threads intended for strategy discussion are more heavily moderated. All Global EtiQQuete rules apply in addition to the following:
Posts must be legible. No double posting of identical content. Avoid inflammatory comments. Posts should add to discussion and be on topic. Do not engage in quote wars. Do not engage in thread assassination, thread derailment.
You may receive a warning for any offense, but understand that warnings do not directly lead to a ban. We'll update this EtiQQuette with specific rulings where necessary, but in the meantime we appreciate your patience and understanding that punishment for breaking these rules is subject to moderator discretion.
