this is for the sake of an argument i am having with a friend on why LoD monks in GvG run RoF instead of WoC. I explain that it ultimately has more healing because of faster recharge and it negates 50+ dmg while also healing for that amount whereas the WoC wont heal as much. He just says that it has more healing if he has a condition on himself which he wont cause the RC will use RC but hes retarded. I also said for preprotting purposes it could be used on a spike such as if you are kd'd.
Any other reasons why RoF is better than WoC on an LoD monk bar? |

because the other monk is rc and you'll never gonna see that healing bonus?
because everyone thinks they're still playing boon prot so they mash the rof button? oh wait, that's a good reason to use words. |

Does it really matter? Just let him run whatever he's more comfortable with.
Also, you could just not take any damage. |

Monk bars = 7 skills + RoF.
Any Monk bar without RoF is a bad Monk bar.
Good talk. |

RoF can save over 100 damage + divine favor, is a quarter second cast, quick recharging, and you can self target with it.
The only possible reasons to take rof over words on standard LoD/RC bars is if you're baaeeed. If I'm out monking with the typical mediocre monk and they're just going to use RoF arbitrarily without paying attention in hopes of making red bars go up, then I would rather them not waste the energy and take something that they are going to be effective with, probably a direct heal like words whose conditional bonus is easy mode to trigger. |

| personally, i don't spam rof that much, even when im playing an LoD monk. I use it only for quick burst heals or an enchant cover. I find it that you can save a lot of energy by letting the warriors or whatever swap targets and then LoD when the bars are at 80 percent. I throw a rof on someone when i see more than just auto-attack; I use it when I see elementalists casting orbs or whatnot and warriors unleashing adrenaline (but then again it's probably better to spirit bond or prot spirit) because then almost the full heal is attained. Having said all that, only monks like Alyiah from Cry could get away with "red bars go up" monking when the partner prot is amazing (dephria is God). Other than that, there is no justification for taking words over rof. Besides, LoD monks already have 2 full heals: sig of rejuv and LoD. |

| Before you fuck with your monk's skill bar, make sure he can adapt. A lot of monks get really, really used to one skill bar and your team will die if you change it. |
